STEP 1

Create the base circle

Start by making a circle that will fit into the bottom of your pie pan. I measured the bottom of the pan and then drew a circle that I cut out and fit to the bottom.

STEP 2

Create two more circles

Make two more circles: one about 6 inches in diameter and another about 2 inches in diameter.

STEP 3

Combine the circles

Add a loop of tape to the center of the smallest circle and stick it to the center of the medium circle.

STEP 4

Finish the target

Add a few loops of tape to the back of the medium target and place it in the center of the large target. Add a few more loops of tape to the back of the large target and stick it to the bottom of the pan.

STEP 5

Make your throwies

Bed the leads of your LEDs in circles like we did for the Light Painting project and slide them over the battery. If the LED doesn’t come on flip the battery over. Add the magnet to the battery area.

STEP 6

Tape your LEDs

Tape your LEDs to keep the battery and magnet from coming loose.

Now you can take aim and throw your LEDs at your target to see who has the best aim.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Try making differently colored throwies with different LEDs, or add some LEDs to the inside of the tin so you can play in the dark. Different boards can be made too. How about throwie Tic Tac Toe!
